World Fair Trade Organisation
Empowering Communities and Transforming Fashion Ethics
In 2015 Mark Baigent's journey began with a clear mission: establishing their garment factory in Bali, Indonesia, with the vision extending far beyond mere production of garments.
The priority was to create a company that gives back to the community, fosters safe spaces for minorities, and improves the livelihoods of our valued employees. After years of hard work, overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic, and joining forces with our business partner Gregory Allain, we are thrilled to announce that The Allain Baigent Group has achieved a significant milestone.
We are now a certified World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) member, marking a significant turning point in our commitment to ethical practices. At The Allain Baigent Group, fair trade is not merely a concept but a guiding principle. In addition to adhering to the ten Fairtrade principles, we firmly believe that the future of fashion lies in transparency. Transparency means shedding light on every production line step, from sourcing and ordering fabrics to creating a fair and flexible workspace for our dedicated workers.
In an era where fashion must become more transparent, we recognise the importance of understanding the journey that each piece of clothing undertakes before it reaches our closets. This transparency ensures fairness for our workers and reassures our conscious consumers that their purchases align with their values. Moreover, we are acutely aware of the detrimental impact of the fashion industry on the environment. As one of the largest contributors to pollution, we are determined to make a difference. By giving back to the communities most affected by climate change and economic disparity, we strive to create a positive impact and implement change.
The Allain Baigent Group is committed to empowering minorities and individuals facing unique living situations. We believe in providing a safe work environment where everyone can flourish and be free to develop their newly learned skills sustainably for the future.
Every garment we design is a testament to our love, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail. They reflect our unwavering commitment to ethical and political principles, ensuring our customers can proudly wear our creations.
Joining the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) was a natural progression for us. It reinforces our dedication to ethical practices and cements our position as a vanguard in reshaping the fashion industry.
We invite you to explore our collection and join us on our transformative journey as we redefine the possibilities of fashion. Together, let us empower communities and make a lasting impact.
