The journey back to yourself.
The first non-seasonal collection by designer and artist Mark Stephen Baigent is the return to the core of the designer personal style and original expression of creating fashion. Ethnic influences were always a part of his creative language and are now again implemented into the collection.
All pieces are hand made in-house in our own factory that runs on a fair trade basis.
Keeping traditional craftsmanship alive with modern design approaches and sourcing materials locally is an ethic that the brand wants to uphold and pass on.
MARK BAIGENT jackets are designed to complement all our collections & all your favourite looks. They offer versatility through layers, textures & detailed finishings. Crafted to the highest standards, expect the same hand made excellence we offer with every piece that we produce in-house. These pieces are collector's items & will last you for seasons, years & decades to come.
Produced under fair conditions in our own fair fashion factory in Bali Indonesia.
The designs show minimalistic concepts, geometric shapes, featuring timeless cuts & high-end finishings.
Dedication to craftsmanship & design are the fundamental qualities of our footwear designs. With every collection, we design shoes to accompany & compliment the clothing to create a full look that is sophisticated & strong. The materials for our shoes are all ethically sourced & obtained from local suppliers. This means none of the materials we use are imported, & most of them are reclaimed. "Reclaimed leather" is a byproduct which normally would not be used for sale or production but rather thrown away due to scratches, marks & general imperfections on the surface of the fabric. We think this is what gives the leather a personality, character & strength - which is why we use only this kind of leather for our products.
The collective idea of SPITTELBERG summarises the sentiment of an unsavory past of a tiny city in Vienna and the historical Victorian era, where fragility and hard life went hand in hand.
Colored only slightly by a fascinating yet antiquated culture of patriarchy.
We feel a sense of responsibility in giving tribute to the women of this historical period through our newest collection; a remembrance that needs to be appreciated and simultaneously guarded.
Each design, texture, and cut of this new collection were carefully crafted to pay homage to this chosen era, while still maintaining that modern touch.
